The Castle's Annual Game Dinner

Our annual feast is back! The Castle is proud to host another wonderful dinner of fine food, wines, and great company. We hope to see you there!

Hors d'Oeuvres 

Bandera quail legs roasted and glazed with glace de viande

Wild Louisana reef oysters roasted and served with a lemon buerre blanc

Hot smoked applewood wild salmon mousse on a tomato moon with fresh dill 

Cremant de Loire Rose brut Petite Marquise


1st Course 

Encrusted and oven roasted "line caught" Island Point Lodge Alaskan halibut on a light spinach soufflé garnished with butter poached Maine lobster

Quinta do Gradil Vinho Verde (Ruelas)


2nd Course

Venison Bratwurst Sausage sautéed with button mushrooms, red pepper and a Tuscan spice blend of cinnamon, rosemary, and pepper flakes blended with Cooper's Farm cream tossed with fresh pappardelle

Cabernet Franc 2016 Luc Cholot Rousillon


Dinner

Elk tenderloin wrapped in black pepper bacon, roasted and served with a rich vibrant port-glace de viande reduction

Real Wine Thursdays: A Weekly Tasting Series

Come taste older vintages of three wines, which will change weekly. History is the key - what was then, what is now, and what might finally be. Experience wines of 30+ years of age - not just how have they grown and where will they go, but what their is place in the heritage of the wine world and their greater historical context too.

The tastings are a casual affair - you can choose from 2 ounce ($8), 4 ounce ($16), or 6 ounce pours ($24). All menus are available for food to pair with the tasting, or just come to enjoy pedigree wines that are no longer available to the general public.

Join us at 5:30pm on November 1st, November 8th, November 15th & November 29th. We'll then start again in January after the holidays.

Call or email for details on which wines are being served weekly - expect three exceptional older vintages from around the world. You can reach James or Evangeline on 508-892-9090 for details.

Reservations aren't necessary for this event, but we'd always love to know if you're planning to stop by.
